Dev Team & Vendor Health Check

“Why am I not getting results from my dev team?”

Your developers are busy but little gets shipped. Each step forward brings a step back, and you can’t tell why.

Who it’s for

You’re a good fit if you…

  • can’t tell whether your developers are working on the right things
  • keep hearing “almost done” but rarely see a release
  • are wondering whether to replace your developers or your agency
  • want an outside view on whether your team can carry the next stage

Probably not a fit if you…

What you get

  • One-to-one conversations with you and everyone on the team
  • A look at the code, the task tracker, and how work gets planned and shipped
  • A candid written report on the process and on each person’s work
  • Clear recommendations for process, roles, and the team
  • A walkthrough call and answers to follow-up questions for two weeks

How it works

Two to four weeks, from the discovery call to the report.

  1. Discovery call

    Free

We talk about what’s going wrong, who’s on the team, and what you’ve tried so far.

  2. Fixed quote

    Within two working days

A fixed price and a timeline, based on the size of the team.

  3. Conversations and review

    Two to four weeks

I talk to everyone one to one and look at the code, the task tracker, and how work gets planned and shipped.

  4. Report and walkthrough

    Right after the review

You get the written report, then we go through it on a call. I answer follow-up questions for two weeks.

A development team that delivers every week

Monetization platform for content creators, Spain, 2026

Two first-time founders were building a platform for creators to sell their content. They had worked with a developer for two months and wanted the product to take shape faster, with progress they could follow. I looked at what had been built and how the work was planned. The founders had asked from the start for everything to be built right, so it wouldn’t need changing later. The developer took that literally: he spent the two months on foundations a large platform would need one day, while the first goal was a preview and waitlist page. The founders also kept refining the designs, and as a back-end specialist he found the visual details hard to match. I worked with the founders on the requirements, and together we brought in a front-end specialist and a back-end developer. Each week the developers committed to goals they agreed were realistic, and delivered them.

A few weeks later the preview and waitlist page went live, and from then on the founders saw finished work every week instead of just status updates.

Common questions

Will my developers know what you’re doing?

Yes. I talk to each of them, and it works best when you tell them up front that you’ve asked for an outside view. Developers often welcome it: problems are rarely one person’s fault, and clearer goals and a better process help them too.

Is the report confidential?

Yes. The report goes only to you. Nobody on the team gets it from me; whether you share it, and with whom, is up to you. It’s candid and names people where that helps: where someone struggles and how they could improve, not a verdict on them.

What if part of the problem is on our side?

Then the report says so. Changing requirements, unclear priorities, or feedback that comes too late slow a team down as much as weak code. You get a candid picture of both sides, because that’s the only way to fix it.

What happens after the health check?

You decide. Some founders adjust the process and keep the team; others replace a developer or an agency. I’m happy to help with either, and half the fee counts toward ongoing support if you start within two months.

Where does your product stand?

Tell me what you’re building and what’s on your mind. In a free call we work out the next step, whether that’s working together or something you can do yourself.
